Statement:

Coyotl, the Aztec name for the prairie wolf or as the Spanish called them, coyote. They mysteriously travel the land of enchantment, moving in and out of cities, villages and throughout the high desert mountains. As the unofficial State animal, these beautiful animals are the subject of many folk tales and generational stories.
