Across cultures the moon represents powerful divine feminine energy. According to Aztec mythology Mētztli is one of the moon goddesses that watch over us. She takes shape at times as a rabbit. In this work she has stepped out of the moon that shines over the northern New Mexico high mountain desert to wander the earth. It is said that if you walk in a good way you may see her as she moves among the nopal groves.
